I am more than a little bit taken with Stargate: Atlantis! I started watching last year based on a friend's enthusiasm for the show and after seeing David Hewlett and David Nykl - with surprise!bonus Kate Hewlett - speak at Polaris 23. Not that fandom hasn't had this kind of discussion six ways to Sunday, but it's interesting to see a mainstream take on it.

Interesting discussion going on here about commenting on fic. Some of it may be applicable to other fanworks as well. There are some good thoughts on the poll and a few other things come up in the comments (like the age of the story, or if the author is still/ever replied to comments).
